The green fields of the Tuscany region and the great Italian architecture blend in Pisa, where we will visit the leaning tower. Once we have explored Pisa, we will move on to visit the town of Lucca which was originally a Roman town. Lucca is famous as the birthplace of Puccini, the great composer. Our visit to Lucca will conclude with an exploration of the Pisan-Romanesque church of San Martin and the San Michele in Foro. At the end of the day we will go back with our cameras filled with great pictures. |

This morning, we’ll visit the medieval town of San Gimignano, entering the town through one of its five gates. We will discover the history enclosed in this fortress-city, lingering along the cobblestoned pavement. After San Gimignano, on the road we will see Siena with its elegant tower of the Palazzo Pubblico. Here, we will stop next in Piazza del Campo, considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. We can be lucky and experience a horse race at the Palio. It would seem like time has definitely stopped. |
