Discover two milleniums of art and history at the Vatican.
In the morning our driver will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel to drive you to the smallest state in the world, the Vatican. We will follow the walls surrounding the Vatican until we arrive to the Museums’ main entrance. Here you will meet your official guide who will be with you throughout the visit, for approximately 3 hours. We will be among the first parties to enter the Museum and with the expertees of your guide you will discover all the secrets of Michelangelo’s breathtaking masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel, in a very intimate way. The visit continues along the Vatican Galleries, including the Raphael’s with his frescoes, among them his master piece, the school of Athens. The Renaissance was a cultural movement that influenced European intellectual life in the early modern period. Beginning in Italy, and spreading to the rest of Europe by the 16th century, it had its center in Rome.

This private walk offers a deep retrospective, from today’s Rome to the Rome of the 15th century. The specific focus is to show the universal soul of Rome using the masterpieces of the Renaissance men: Bernini, Borromini, Caravaggio and Michelangelo. We’ll walk by Via Giulia, near the Tiber, considered one of the most beautiful streets of Renaissance Rome. During the day we’ll also discover the elegance of Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna and visit the baroque Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria. We’ll end the day throwing a coin to the marvelous Fontana di Trevi to ensure your future return to Rome.

  This private tour focuses on the importance of Ostia during the Roman Empire. During the VII century, the fourth king of Rome, Anco Marzio, founded Ostia. This day we will discover the Castelli Romani area in the Lazio region, famous for its Castles and wines. Our driver/guide will meet at your hotel and drive you through Frascati, and then we will stop in Castel Gandolfo, the Popes’ summer residence since the seventeenth century. Near the Albano Lake we will arrange the wine tasting in one of the oldest wine cellars in the region, the Pagnanelli established in 1882.
The wine tasting will consist of a selection of the best red wines of the Lazio region. The sommelier will ellaborate an enologic perspective of the Castelli Romani area, followed by the wine presentation which includes the wine tasting. The wines are accompanied with appetizers: Parmigiano cheese, gorgonzola, ham and mozzarella di bufala.

  We will leave Rome for the day to visit Florence in a one-day excursion. This service has been designed to optimize time and the experience of scenery drive to the heart of Tuscany. Once in Florence we will visit Piazza della Signoria, a Renaissance masterpiece and government center since medieval times. From here we will cross the Arno along the Ponte Vecchio to then visit the home of one of the most popular Florentine citizens The David, Michelangelo’s masterpiece at the Accademia Museum.
After lunch, we will continue on to Chiesa della Santa Croce where Italian icons such as Michelangelo and Galileo are buried. At the end of the day we will drive back to Rome, leaving our Florentine experience behind.
