You'll spend three hours taking in the city's rich history and culture in a tour you'll never forget. You'll step back in time as you stroll through the streets of Florence, which are lined with lasting examples of the breathtaking architecture from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Uffizi is one of the oldest galleries and showcases famous artwork from masters like Rembrandt, da Vinci, and Michelangelo. What is even more spectacular about the Uffizi is that artists such as Michelangelo actually visited the Uffizi during their lifetimes, giving the museum an almost ethereal ambiance. Official tour guides add depth to your experience by sharing stories of the local culture. You will be privy to rare facts about your favorite artists. The tour begins on the historic Ponte Vecchio Bridge. From there, you'll visit the Renaissance Civic and Political Center, where you'll see some of the world's most famous ancient statues, fountains and the Palazzo Vecchio, which has been around since Medieval times. From there, we'll head to the Religious Center of Florence, where we'll take in the Church of Orsanmichele, home to memorable statues by artists known the world over, such as Donatello and Verrocchio.

Have you ever rubbed the nose of a boar? On our tour, you can get up close with the famous boar known as "il Porcelino." Legend has it that anyone who rubs his nose will ensure himself a return trip to Florence in the future. And who wouldn't want that?

You'll also visit the Piazza della Republica. What was once known as the Ancient Forum is now a popular spot where many famous writers and artists can be seen rubbing elbows with the locals.

Look up as you enter the Duomo of the Florence Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is an iconic part of the Florence skyline. Whether it's your first time to see the dome or your fiftieth, the majestic artistry of Brunelleschi will always take your breath away.

I would like to take a moment to recognize one of your associates, Olimpia Mastrogiacomo. Olimpia helped us design a very special Italy vacation of which we just returned from. Laura worked with Olimpia to set up all of our tours. Olimpia was such a huge asset in recommending various tours and sites as well as insuring other elements of our vacation would be fabulous. This was a trip of a lifetime for us! Without Olimpia and Access Italy it surely would not have been.

Laura at Access Italy was incredibly helpful in planning our trip to Italy. Our experience in Rome far surpassed all expectations: Angelo created a highlights tour and Vatican tour that was outstanding - truly a once in a lifetime experience. The kids will never forget making pizza and gelato in Rome. The Venice Walking tour with Andrea was fun and educational and the kids really liked him. The Murano glass tour was super interesting; however, the manager of the factory was too assertive in trying to sell her product. In Florence, Mike was extremely knowledgeable in both the Ufizzi and Highlights tour and would be an excellent guide for adults; however, he did not capture the children's attention. (I sent lots of pictures to Angelo. Let me know if he didn't get them and I will send them again.)

Laura: We just got back last night, and I wanted to say a quick word of gratitude for the terrific attention your folks paid to us. In a fortnight trip, no single event has a hitch. Everything was excellent. I would be happy to add my recommendation to Ed F.’s anytime.
